I once went to China to give some talks about Java in the late 90s, and I wanted to have a goofy title slide.
I figured Duke on the Great Wall with a Chinese Dragon would be cool. But this started a huge and unexpected
controversy. Every color I suggested turned out to have some symbolic meaning that someone would find fault
with. I tried lots of colors. No dice. Even a non-color like clear glass. But no. So I got rid of
the dragon.
